 | This is one of those very rare films that manages, somehow, to deal seriously and sensitively with the most sensational sounding subject matter, namely the relationship between a former Nazi doctor and paedophile, now confined to an Iron Lung after a failed suicide attempt, and the enthusiastic (or apt?) young pupil who becomes his nurse under the threat of blackmail.
Needless to say The Scum would have a field day if they heard about this film...
